SH 35 Major Corridor Feasibiity Study

GUNDA performed traffic engineering analysis services for 47 miles of SH 35 corridor from IH 610 in Houston to SH 288 in Brazoria County. Services include traffic data collection, traffic data reduction, traffic projections, purpose and need statement, safety studies, traffic analysis, alternative analysis and public presentations. Traffic analysis was performed for 60 signalized intersections along the existing SH 35 corridor.

GUNDA was also responsible for traffic modeling for the existing (2000) and 2025 no-build conditions. Supported the development of Initial Conceptual Alternatives which included HOV lane extensions, managed lanes, Light Rail, Commuter rail, Toll Facilities, Hike and Bike Trails and Highway Options. Participated in the development of Viable Alternatives with the study area, which included ITS, TDM and TSM components.
