Lightrail North Hardy & Southeast Corridors Traffic Engineering Analysis

GUNDA provided traffic engineering services for METRO's corridor alternative analysis studies and DEIS for both Lightrail corridors. Performed existing and 2025 traffic level-of-service analysis and traffic counts for corridor with and without lightrail options.

GUNDA then evaluated the impact from median closures and traffic circulation related to lightrail implementation within the median of city streets.

Finally, GUNDA developed traffic impact criteria to be utilized for all corridors in the METRO Solutions Program. Reccomendations were developed to mitigate impacts due to proposed project. A key concern in the project was to improve the safety for left turns along the corridor.
